Job Summary:
- Setup, operate and maintain soldering equipment used for the assembly of printed circuit boards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs various types of machine soldering operations utilizing selective and wave soldering equipment.
- Consults production schedule to prepare work area and equipment.
- Gathers components needed to meet production schedules.
- Sets up equipment and ensures proper operation.
- Visually scans products prior to and after soldering to detect defects.
- Documents production totals and any errors.
- Consults with Engineering and QA to help resolve production issues.
- Cleans work area and equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent hand-eye coordination required.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English is essential for understanding documents, safety guidelines and quality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and to change tasks to meet schedule demands.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of related work experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting.
- May need to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds at times.
