We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Specialist for a growing manufacturing company in Brattleboro, VT. This is a hands-on production position supporting daily manufacturing operations, material handling, quality, and equipment operation.
Job Title: Manufacturing Specialist
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Overtime: Overtime available as needed
Location: Brattleboro, VT
Responsibilities

Review and understand production work orders and daily manufacturing requirements.

Plan and prepare the supply of cardboard rolls based on production work orders.

Load rolls into the unwind stand using appropriate lifting equipment.

Join rolls according to established procedures to minimize production interruptions.

Efficiently change rolls during product changeovers.
-
Thread cardboard through the unwind stand, combs, and gluing section.
-
Identify and repair cardboard breaks during production.
-
Enter roll consumption information into the Autofab computer system.

Verify material dimensions using rulers and micrometers.

Work closely with production team members to maintain an efficient workflow.

Operate manufacturing equipment safely and according to established procedures.

Perform additional production-related duties as needed.
Quality Responsibilities

Inspect and verify the quality of raw materials.

Help minimize waste and scrap.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Ensure equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.

Communicate significant equipment issues or breakdowns to the appropriate personnel.
Health & Safety
-
Follow all established safety procedures and manufacturing standards.

Handle and secure material rolls carefully using approved methods.

Use the appropriate equipment and tools to protect yourself and your coworkers.

Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain a safety-first mindset throughout the workday.
Qualifications
-
Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience is preferred.

Ability to understand work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.

Comfortable using measuring tools such as rulers and micrometers.

Basic computer skills.

Strong attention to detail and quality.

Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Pay Details: $21.50 per hour
