Production Team Lead

Londonderry, NH
$23 per hour depending on experience
Monday–Friday | 4:00 AM–12:30 PM or until shift ends | Overtime expected

Production Team Lead – Food Manufacturing

We are hiring an experienced Production Team Lead to oversee daily production line operations in our DRY, WET, and Bakery departments in Londonderry, NH.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with manufacturing experience who can keep production moving, lead and support team members, maintain quality standards, and ensure a safe and efficient production environment.

The Production Team Lead works closely with the Senior Group Leader and/or Production Supervisor to ensure productivity, quality control, food safety, and production standards are consistently met or exceeded.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the setup and operation of equipment required for batch production.
  • Assign daily job tasks to department employees and ensure efficient workflow and timely completion.
  • Monitor the quality of raw materials, including color, consistency, aroma, and texture, and report deviations to the manager or supervisor.
  • Ensure all necessary raw materials are available for daily production and coordinate with inventory control through the JDE system.
  • Guide team members on quality control procedures, machine operations, and batch-making processes.
  • Accurately complete and maintain required production documentation.
  • Perform and document label and quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Coach and mentor associates on production procedures, GMP, and food safety policies.
  • Manage personnel to ensure adequate coverage during breaks and vacations.
  • Monitor production efficiencies and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
  • Directly supervise department employees to ensure safety and quality standards are followed and tasks are completed on time.

Safety & Compliance

  • Understand and enforce all safety rules and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure proper use of required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets, earplugs, safety shoes, and uniforms.
  • Ensure team members follow GMP and food safety policies.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food production
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency in English, with the ability to clearly communicate instructions
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, including electric pallet jacks and manual hand jacks
  • Forklift experience with classroom certification
  • Proficiency using Outlook for inter-departmental communication
  • Training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), allergen handling, wash-down procedures, food defense, and HACCP principles
  • Willingness to work varying shifts and schedules as necessary
  • Successful completion of substance and physical screening
  • Successful completion of math and English language proficiency exams

Physical & Work Environment

This position works in an indoor manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and machinery.

Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods
  • Frequently bend, lift, and twist
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Wear required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets, earplugs, safety shoes, and uniforms

Schedule

Full-Time
Monday–Friday
4:00 AM–12:30 PM or until shift ends
Overtime is expected

Flexible work hours with varying shifts. Availability for overtime and weekend work as needed to meet production demands.

Travel: No travel required.
