BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER
Brandon Woods of New Bedford is a family-owned and operated skilled nursing center that has been serving seniors for 50 years. Our 135-bed facility specializes in Short Term Care, Long Term Care, Rehabilitation, and Sub-acute Care.
We are looking for a dynamic and initiative-taking individual to join our team who can contribute to our long-term strategic objectives.
Job Summary:
- Maintains computerized census and all related reports.
- Maintains patient register/roster according to DPH regulations.
- Maintains complete patient business files.
- Verifies Medicaid, Coinsurance, Medicare and other insurance numbers and eligibility.
- Prepares documentation for month end billing for the central billing department.
- Prepares and mails out Private Pay invoices.
- Completes cash receipts daily.
- Maintains residents PNA accounts, pays residents invoices bills timely and works with families to ensure accounts stay under $2,000 in accordance with MassHealth guidelines.
- Collaborate with lawyers on filing conservatorships/guardianships.
- Follow collection procedures on delinquent accounts.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Experienced Business Office Manager in Long-term care or similar setting with knowledge of third-party billing. (minimum 6 months to 1 year experience)
- COMPUTER EXPERIENCE: Electronic Health Record systems and Microsoft product knowledge.
