Job DescriptionBlender Operator – Production
Taunton, MA
$19 per hour
Position SummaryThe Blender Operator is responsible for accurately preparing and blending ingredients according to established recipes and production schedules. This role ensures product consistency, quality, and food safety standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to follow formulas precisely, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately weigh, measure, and verify ingredients according to production formulas and batch sheets.
  • Operate industrial blending and mixing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare batches according to production schedules while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Monitor blending processes to ensure proper consistency, texture, and ingredient distribution.
  • Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and cleaning procedures.
  • Conduct quality checks and report any product or equipment issues immediately.
  • Maintain accurate production records, ingredient usage logs, and batch documentation.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
  • Ensure ingredients are properly identified, labeled, and stored.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Production teams to meet daily production goals.
  • Assist with inventory control and ingredient reconciliation as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, blending, mixing, or batch preparation preferred.
  • Experience operating industrial mixing or blending equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, formulas, and production instructions accurately.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and unit conversions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and temperature-controlled production environments.
  • Ability to safely handle food ingredients and production materials.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to food ingredients, production equipment, and varying temperatures.
  • Required use of PPE including hairnets, beard nets, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective equipment.
  • Strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
