Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The role of the Program Operations Manager is to oversee the Capital Warehouse Operations, including documents file management and project material to ensure delivery exceptional performance to MBTA and an engaged working environment for our personnel.
Capital Operations Manager will be expected to learn, fully understand and work within “The Unipart Way” while adopting lean management principles and approach.
Responsibilities
- Management and delivery of all Capital Warehouse operations for the MBTA at the West Bridgewater operation.
- Develop and implement necessary countermeasures to ensure financial performance
- Ensure delivery of all daily BAU activities of the capital operations portion of the warehouse, including outbound, inbound, returns, processing flows, productivity and quality
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet volume demands and manage the flow and quality of the work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- Maintain a safe, healthy & secure work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures
- Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety and Security requirements are met by complying with Group policies and procedures and all relevant legal regulations
- Ensure secure measures are in place and proper guidelines followed to ensure the safeguard of Unipart/Client people, processes and assets (including inventory)
- Develop and Implement action plans to rectify any off target KPI and SLA performance, providing relevant and timely updates to senior management of progress
- Monitor and manage operational goals to deliver service improvement and efficiency
- Maintain a positive working relationship with internal stakeholders and customers
- Oversee the recruitment, selection and onboarding of employees into the operations
- Supervise, organize, direct and train employees to deliver high quality services, leading by example and actively engaging employees in the warehouse
- Knowledgeable in company policies and handbook to ensure compliance

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of previous leadership experience
- 8+ years of Warehouse and Distribution experience
- Excellent leadership and people skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility to achieve desired results and KPIs.
- Intermediate knowledge of Oracle functions/transactions or similar WMS
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to deal with conflict and maintain a engaged and productive work environment
- Ability and willingness to be flexible with working hours to meet operating needs of the business
- Ability to travel as required to meet the needs of the business
- Ability to maintain a clean
- Valid Driver’s License and clean motor vehicle record
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

- Ability to walk the entire floor for the length of shift and stand for long periods of time
