Job DescriptionAdecco Staffing is assisting a manufacturing facility in Westford MA sourcing for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk. This role requires 2 years of experience in a similar setting! If interested please apply directly to this posting.
Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm
Pay: $22-28/hr
Job Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for efficiently handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all products and materials are received, verified, stored, and shipped in accordance with company procedures and quality standards. This role also supports inventory management by organizing and maintaining work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods for future production or shipment.Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Receiving:
Receive incoming goods and materials from suppliers, customers, and sub-tier suppliers.
Unload trucks and verify deliveries against packing lists.
Record receipt of goods on packing lists and receiving logs; forward documentation to the business office.
Match received parts with job Travelers when applicable and forward to the Quality Inspection team.
Route supplies to appropriate departments or storage locations.
Shipping:
Obtain shipping authorization from Quality prior to packaging.
Prepare shipments for customers, suppliers, or inventory based on Traveler instructions.
Record shipping methods, weights, and prepare all required documentation (e.g., packing lists, labels, and quality paperwork).
Complete shipping forms for UPS, FedEx, and other carriers.
Schedule deliveries and assist with loading outbound shipments.
Customer Orders:
Ensure shipping documentation is accurate and complete.
Package parts according to customer-specific instructions on the Traveler.
Include all necessary shipping labels and quality documentation.
Sub-Tier Supplier Shipments:
Review purchase orders and package parts with appropriate protection.
Coordinate shipment schedules and arrange pickups as needed.
Load delivery trucks when required.
Inventory Management:
Label and store finished goods based on Traveler specifications.
Maintain organized inventory with clear part identification.
Ensure items are stored securely until released for use or shipment.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
Familiarity with shipping systems (UPS/FedEx/other carriers).
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory systems).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts a plus).
Knowledge of packing, labeling, and inventory procedures.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.Work Environment:
Warehouse and manufacturing environment.
May involve standing, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
Use of safety equipment as required.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour
