Barista / Cashier — Part-Time
Konna Café & Things | Salem, MA

Pay: $15–$23 per hour, including tips, depending on experience. Total hourly earnings vary with tips.

Konna Café & Things is looking for a friendly, reliable, and experienced barista to join our team. We’re looking for someone who cares about great coffee, welcoming service, and the small details that make each customer’s visit special.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, take orders, and process payments accurately using our POS system.
• Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, teas, and specialty beverages consistently using our recipes.
• Prepare and serve light food items.
• Keep the coffee bar, equipment, and customer areas clean and organized.
• Restock supplies and support the team during busy periods.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Help customers explore our menu and recommend items they may enjoy.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience is required.
• Hands-on experience with a traditional espresso machine, including pulling espresso shots and properly steaming and texturing milk.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Able to multitask while maintaining quality and accuracy in a busy café.
• Morning and weekend availability is required.

Schedule

Shifts start at 6:45 AM and end between 2:00 and 2:30 PM.
