Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Temporary Recruiting Coordinator to join their Human Resources team. This position will play a critical role in supporting the company's hiring initiatives, with a primary focus on recruiting and talent acquisition activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
This is an immediate need covering a leave of absence, with the potential for the assignment to be extended or convert to a permanent opportunity for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition (70%)
- Source qualified candidates through job boards, applicant tracking systems (ATS), databases, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
- Review resumes and evaluate candidate qualifications for manufacturing, production, maintenance, warehouse, and skilled trades positions.
- Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate experience, qualifications, and interest.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, interview notes, and recruiting activity within the ATS and CRM systems.
- Provide a positive candidate experience through consistent communication and timely follow-up.
- Gather and communicate hiring manager feedback and coordinate next steps in the interview process.
- Extend verbal offers and assist with offer negotiations as directed.
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings, onboarding activities, and new hire paperwork.
- Track recruiting metrics and provide regular updates on hiring activity and candidate pipelines.
Administrative & HR Support (30%)
- Coordinate internal meetings, employee events, and company activities.
- Assist with travel arrangements, reservations, and meeting logistics.
- Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other business documentation.
- Support HR initiatives, projects, and administrative functions as needed.
- Maintain confidential employee and recruiting records.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR Manager and leadership team.
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of recruiting, recruiting coordination, HR, or administrative experience preferred.
- Experience supporting high-volume recruiting efforts strongly preferred.
- Previous recruiting experience within manufacturing, production, warehouse, maintenance, or skilled trades environments is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and CRM platforms preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Customer-service-oriented approach with a professional demeanor.
