CNC Laser Operator
Location: Sturbridge, MA
Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour

Savvy Staffing is seeking a CNC Laser Operator for a metal manufacturing company in Sturbridge, MA. This is a great opportunity for someone with CNC, machine operation, or metal manufacturing experience who is comfortable working with measurements, blueprints, and production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC laser equipment according to production requirements
- Read and interpret routers, travelers, customer drawings, and specifications
- Set machine parameters and power settings
- Load metal sheets into the machine and operate the laser to cut parts
- Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures
- Make minor program adjustments and perform basic laser programming
- Troubleshoot equipment and make adjustments as needed
- Perform routine machine maintenance and coordinate maintenance when needed
- Ensure finished products meet quality and dimensional requirements
- Move materials and parts using hoists, cranes, forklifts, or hand trucks
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Communicate production, quality, and safety concerns to supervisors
Qualifications
- Previous CNC, laser, machining, or metal manufacturing experience is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and layouts
- Comfortable using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and machine controls
- Basic math skills, including decimals, fractions, and percentages
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to obtain forklift and crane licenses
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and improve processes
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, balance, and handle materials throughout the shift
- Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment
