Join a leading food manufacturing company in Salem, MA! We are seeking reliable and hardworking Sanitation Associates to help maintain a clean, safe, and food-safe production environment. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and work areas according to company procedures and food safety standards
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and wash floors, walls, and production surfaces
- Properly handle and use cleaning chemicals and sanitation tools
- Remove waste and dispose of materials in accordance with company guidelines
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, and food safety regulations
- Complete sanitation documentation and cleaning logs accurately
- Assist with preparing production areas for the next shift
- Report any maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to supervisors
Requirements
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, cleaning, or food manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working around food production equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction
