For 70+ years, Senior Metal Bellows has delivered custom-engineered metal bellows and precision components to aerospace, defense, energy, and other high-spec markets. We’re seeking a CNC professional who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and lean-minded execution.
What You'll Do
- Operate CNC mills, lathes, and complementary machining equipment to produce precision parts.
- Translate blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions into effective setups and operations.
- Select the right tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds to balance speed and accuracy.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges; verify conformance.
- Troubleshoot issues and make safe, effective adjustments to machine settings or on-control programs.
- Continuously refine processes to cut cycle time and reduce scrap while protecting quality.
- Align daily output with production schedules and customer quality standards.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, materials, and tolerances.
- Ability to read prints and confidently interpret GD&T.
- Proficient with precision inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens (or similar) controls preferred.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Physical & Environmental Details
- Stand for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Manual dexterity required for safe equipment operation.
- Manufacturing floor exposure to heat, machine noise, metal shavings, lubricants, and moving parts; PPE required.
