Anticipated Start Date: ASAP - TBD
Duration: 6 months
Job Type: Contract and the possibility to be extended the contract. M-F, Hybrid 2 days minimum in office.
Pay Rate: $21.41/hour (W2)
Need: Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital platforms, with strong written and verbal communication, data entry skills, the ability to multitask and problem-solve independently, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Program Coordinator
Statement of Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will support the Veterans Employment and Education Team (VEET) by conducting outreach, coordinating events, and connecting veterans with education, employment, and supportive resources. This role requires collaboration with internal and external partners, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and outreach through informational fairs, workshops, public events, and other mediums to expand the reach of the VEET Department.
- Collaborate with state and federal agencies, non-profit providers, and community partners to identify resources and opportunities for improving employment and educational programs/services for veterans.
- Plan, coordinate, and support monthly tabling and outreach events with community partners.
- Assist with OnBase data entry and follow-up to ensure referred veterans are connected with appropriate EET resources.
- Support major annual events such as the SVC Welcome Event and VEET Conference, as well as smaller events as needed.
- Respond to direct inquiries via the EET Referral System, providing information, referrals, and linkages to supportive services.
- Create and distribute informational updates through email, website, and social media regarding programs, services, events, and newsletters.
- Review and maintain VEET website content to ensure timely and accurate information on events and resources.
- Stay informed of current and emerging employment and educational issues affecting veterans.
- Research other states’ veterans programs and websites to identify relevant information for VEET updates.
- Promote and help recruit businesses into the Veteran Ready Business Program.
- Build and maintain networks to market the VEET program across the Commonwealth.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of state and federal veterans programs, services, and benefits.
- Familiarity with VA educational benefits and processes.
- Experience working with veterans or active-duty service members.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve independently, and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and various digital platforms.
- Experience with data entry and database management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Information:
- Position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule, with up to three remote workdays per week, subject to department needs and supervisor approval.
- Travel across the Commonwealth may be required for weekly community events.
