Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Control Engineer to join a high-performing automation team developing and supporting next-generation production equipment for cutting-edge industries like aerospace, AI, automotive, and more.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement control systems for new and existing in-house automation equipment

  • Develop electrical schematics, specify components, and integrate machine-to-network communication

  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, servo controls, vision systems (Cognex), and robotics (6-Axis and SCARA)

  • Lead or support automation projects from concept through deployment, balancing short-term support with long-term improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize performance

  • Provide hands-on support for control systems including VFDs, pneumatics, sensors, and motion controllers

  • Create documentation including BOMs, user manuals, wiring diagrams, and system layouts

  • Maintain compliance with electrical safety and industry standards (NFPA, OSHA)

  • Contribute to capital equipment projects and research emerging technologies in automation and vision systems

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing automation

  • Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming, robot and servo control, and electrical design

  • Strong experience in troubleshooting and optimizing control systems

  • Familiarity with CAD tools and standard office software

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset
