Assistant General Manager

Location: Boston Logan Airport (BOS), Boston, MA 02128

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year

Position Summary


As the Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate dynamic daily operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing guest service, boosting operational efficiency, and driving profitability. You will help foster a culture of excellence, building strong relationships with partners, industry officials, and a dedicated front-line team.


Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • Operational Optimization: Assist in developing and implementing policies to optimize restaurant performance and ensure profitable store operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, direct, and mentor employees. Focus on staff development, hiring, and internal promotions to cultivate a positive, productive work environment.
  • Inventory & Compliance: Manage inventory levels, ensure timely merchandise ordering, and maintain strict compliance with security, sales, and record-keeping procedures.
  • Financial Management: Analyze operating budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Guest Experience: Address and resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly to maintain First-Class Guest Service standards.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with corporate personnel to drive operational improvements and implement policy changes.


Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of restaurant management, operations, and personnel experience in a high-volume coffee shop or café environment.
  • Service Focus: A strong understanding of First-Class Guest Service and a commitment to our Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage for results in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours in a 24/7/365 airport environment.
