Job DescriptionAbout the Role:Join our team as a PT Chef at Assisted Living Center Inc, where you will create delicious and nutritious meals for our 30 residents. This part-time position offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our community, working 3-4 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook balanced meals that cater to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Plan weekly menus in collaboration with dietary staff and residents
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies
- Engage with residents to understand their meal preferences
- Provide exceptional service and a warm dining experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Food safety certification is a plus
- Passion for cooking and serving the elderly community
