Gurney has been treating boilers, cooling towers, and process systems across New England for over 70 years. We're family owned, so there are no corporate rollouts nobody asked for, no waiting a week for an answer, and no ceiling on your commission. People tend to stay here for a long time.

We're looking for an Area Manager to take over an established set of accounts in Western Massachusetts and Connecticut, with plenty of room to grow it.

The job
\n
You'll run your territory on your own schedule. Field testing and service reports at existing accounts, troubleshooting problems on site, routine maintenance on feed and control systems, and building relationships with the people who keep these systems running. You'll also chase new business.

What you need
\n
- \n
- 5–10 years in water treatment
- The discipline to manage your own schedule
- Ability to explain test results clearly, whether you're talking to an operator or an owner
- Comfortable with a tablet, laptop, and Microsoft Office
- Clean driving record
- A science degree is a plus, but hands-on experience counts for more

Demands of the job
\n
You will be in boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, and outdoor sites. You will be moving fifty-pound pails, sometimes up a few flights of stairs. There can be some long days and a lot of windshield time. We provide the PPE.
