The Quality Control Chemist will support method development using GC, HPLC, and UPLC, while performing essential analytical chemistry work. The role involves identifying and executing proper characterization methods and preparing technical data, reports, and standard operating procedures for internal use.
Responsibilities
- Support and develop methods for GC, HPLC, and UPLC.
- Identify and perform proper characterization methods.
- Prepare and present technical data, reports, and standard operating procedures.
- Run and support the development of the chemistry team.
- Write and execute all methods used within the team.
- Act as a supporting lead to drive research forward.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Chemistry, HPLC, UPLC, and method development.
- Experience with analytical chemistry and gas chromatography.
- Knowledge of capillary electrophoresis, conductivity, FTIR, GCMS, and UVVIS.
- Experience in wet chemistry and quality control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience, preferably in chemistry or biochemistry.
- Experience with independent method development using various chemistry instrumentation.
- Proficiency in utilizing empower systems.
- Hands-on experience with CE methods such as CE-SDS and cIEF for analyzing biological materials.
Work Environment
The role requires 100% onsite work within the Quality Control chemistry group. The environment is business casual, operating on a first shift from Monday to Friday. The team values detail-oriented, collaborative, and hardworking individuals.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Bedford, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
