Job Details:
Job Title: Operator 1, Packaging Operations
Work Location: 160 New Boston Street, Woburn, MA 01801
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr on W2
Schedule Time: 1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (40 hours per week, with flexibility for overtime).
Position Summary:
- Responsible for the manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial medical products to fulfill demand requirements.
- Ensures finished products comply with established procedures, quality specifications, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Maintains packaging station cleanliness, completes Device History Records (DHR), and follows personal protective equipment (PPE) and gowning requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of finished clinical and commercial medical products.
- Inspect in-process packaging and components to verify quality standards and remove defective products or materials.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of manufacturing/packaging activities, including Device History Records and inventory counts.
- Perform simple mathematical calculations required for batch record completion and inventory auditing.
- Perform routine cleaning of packaging stations and processing equipment to maintain a clean production area.
- Comply strictly with personal protective equipment (PPE) and contamination control (gowning) requirements.
- Participate in safety audits and engage in daily safety observations and discussions.
- Handle hazardous waste materials (such as 200 proof ethanol) as appropriate when required by standard procedures.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Documentation & Quality: Good Documentation Practices (GDP); strong ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, procedures, and quality specifications.
- Math & Computer Skills: Proficient in basic mathematical calculations; familiar with computers and standard software applications.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong team orientation, and dependable work ethic.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of industry or manufacturing/packaging work experience.
Additional Information:
- Overtime & Schedule: Regular shift runs from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be open and flexible to work overtime as needed.
