Senior Mechanical Engineer:

Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in interface adapters, cables, connectors, and Bill of Materials (BOM) development to support proposal efforts for complex build-to-print assemblies. This role focuses on costed proposals detailing parts, labor, and material requirements for highly technical Automated Test and Interface Test Assemblies. The position involves little to no design work.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal engineering, assembly, and procurement teams
- Develop and price BOMs for Interface Test Assemblies/Adapters, cables, and related products based on complete drawing packages (dimensional drawings, parts lists, wiring diagrams, fab files, Gerber files, and ASME Y14.100 documentation)
- Create production-ready BOMs suitable for procurement RFQs and material purchasing
- Support make/buy decisions and supplier selection for machined and sheet metal components
- Translate BOMs into detailed cost proposals, including all required assembly labor
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal procurement to source cables, connectors, and related materials
- Execute work within a defined build-to-print process using customer-provided designs and specifications
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely execution
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred
- Experience with Excel is important.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Citizenship required
Pay rate range - $50 - $60.00 per hour
Contract-to hire arrangement already in place.
