Job Description
We are seeking a Heat Treat Operator to operate batch and vacuum furnaces while performing heat-treatment processes for steel and aluminum components. Reporting to the Heat Treat Manager, this role focuses on hardening, annealing, stress relieving, temperature control, inspection, and safe quenching operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate batch furnaces and vacuum furnaces for heat-treatment processes.
- Perform steel hardening and aluminum heat treatment.
- Conduct annealing and stress-relieving operations.
- Monitor and record furnace temperatures throughout processing.
- Inspect processes and completed work for conformance.
- Perform hardness testing on treated materials.
- Carry out quenching operations safely and effectively.
- Maintain heat-treatment equipment and identify maintenance needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in heat-treatment operations.
