Our client, a Bedford, MA based organization in the healthcare industry is looking for a temporary Refund Specialist for the next 6-9 months to help them through a staffing transition. The ideal candidate for this position will come with two years plus of professional office administrative support experience and some medical billing in their background as well. The client is looking for someone who brings energy and who is also detail oriented and who can juggle multiple tasks at one time. Intermediate skills are required with Word, Excel and Outlook.
The main job responsibilities will include the following:
- Reviewing and printing refund paperwork
- Verifying refund accuracy and resolving bank/client payment issues
- Processing insurance refunds
- Handling patient billing questions
- Operating within revenue cycle management for emergency/office-based providers
Qualifications Needed:
- Strong technical abilities
- Solid communication skills
- Experience with MS Office
- Experience in medical billing (Preferred)
