Job Description
Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment by maintaining the cleanliness of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This position will also assist with basic food prep and cleaning tasks, supporting smooth kitchen operations and helping create a welcoming dining experience for our residents and guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Wash, sanitize, and store all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans according to health and safety standards.

Keep dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical levels.

Assist with basic food prep tasks as assigned.

Sweep and mop kitchen floors and remove trash as needed.

Maintain compliance with all health department and food safety regulations.

Work collaboratively with kitchen and dining staff to ensure timely service.

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or dishwashing role preferred but not required.

Knowledge of proper sanitation, cleaning, and safety procedures in a food service environment.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English; bilingual skills is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.

Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
