Just Around The Corner has been Plymouth's pet care industry leader since 2008! Our enthusiastic and caring staff of 30+ team members cares for Plymouth pets 365 days per year. We are now hiring Pet Sitters in several areas of town to care for all kinds of pets. Great job for evenings and weekends!


We are hiring for opportunities in:

  • Cedarville/Sagamore Beach and Ponds/Redbrook
  • Pinehills and Manomet


Job Responsibilities:

● Caring for client’s pets and homes

○ Walking or providing yard time for dogs

○ Cleaning litter boxes or enclosures and surrounding areas for cats and small animals

○ Keeping client’s home clean of all garbage and messes from us and their pets

○ Bringing in packages for our clients when we visit

○ Writing clear updates for with through our scheduling app

● In addition to walking dogs, caring for other pets and client homes, team members are responsible for other services that Just Around the Corner has agreed to provide during visits.

○ Driving before, during and after visits

○ Accessing clients’ homes through various methods

○ Providing food and water to pets

○ Administering medication to pets

○ Disposing of animal waste properly

○ Monitoring health and safety of pets.


● Skills and Functions that are necessary for this job

○ Control dogs of varying sizes and breeds

○ Track time and mileage, manage visits and scheduling conflicts

○ Communicate in writing and verbally with clients and management

○ Maintain complete and accurate records relating to services provided, including records of time spent at each visit and mileage between visits


Job Requirements:

● Live in Plymouth or adjacent communities

● Be at least 18 years of age

● Consistent access to a reliable vehicle

● Available to work until 10 PM (Monday-Friday) and at least two weekends per month

● Access to and working knowledge of a reliable smartphone

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Physical stamina and the ability to control multiple dogs during walks with intermittent hazards such as vehicle and pedestrian traffic

● Weather resiliency - you may need to drive to and walk dogs in inclement weather (cold, rain, heat, snow, etc.)

● While performing duties of this job, you are regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel and crouch

● You may need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

● If driving to work for a long commute and continuing to drive once at work does not sound appealing, please do not apply. We already know you will not enjoy this position
