Overview
We have immediate opening for a Platform and On-Premises Specialist responsible for assisting U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in execution of architecture engineering support for USCIS’ enterprise infrastructure program. Candidate will apply cloud platform engineering, cloud service management, cloud hybrid and multi-cloud, cloud security, and cloud cost management strategies.
Responsibilities
· Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments.
· Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
· Design and engineer platform scalability, reliability, and high-performance multi-cloud environments.
Qualifications
· 7 to 9 years relevant platform and on-premises cloud experience and a bachelor’s degree.
· Experience with platform security, hybrid cloud strategies, and cloud-native cost optimization.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
· Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
· Ability to effectively solve problems.
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
· A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
· Experience in managing multiple projects with independent schedules and budgets simultaneously.
· Ability to work onsite in Vermont.
Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verification; active USCIS background investigation preferred. Must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for a suitability determination.
