Temp-to-Hire | Job Summary:
We are currently hiring a reliable and hardworking Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join a growing distribution team in Westfield, MA. This position involves hands-on packing of sporting goods, working at individual workstations, and building product-specific boxes for shipping via UPS and FedEx. The role requires frequent heavy lifting and attention to detail to ensure all items are packed and shipped properly. Responsibilities:
- Build custom cardboard packages for outgoing products
- Pack sporting goods and merchandise securely into boxes
- Work at an individual workstation with occasional team projects
- Lift and move heavy products safely
- Follow shipping schedules and work orders accurately
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
- Restock, sweep, clean, assist in other departments when necessary
- Flexibility for overtime when needed
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift heavy items regularly (50-75 pounds)
- Must pass a drug screen and CORI background check prior to starting
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Willingness to work overtime as needed (including early start at 7:00 AM, late shifts until 6:00 PM, and occasional Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Two fifteen-minute breaks, 9:30 AM – 9:45 AM and 3:00 PM – 3:15 PM
- One hour lunch from 12 PM – 1 PM
- Overtime available: as early as 7:00 AM, as late as 6:00 PM, and some Saturdays (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Pay Rate:
? $20.00 per hour
