Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels through cycle counting, material control, and discrepancy resolution. This role supports operational efficiency by identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to ensure inventory accuracy.
Job Responsibilities
• Hands-on material handling, storage, and organization
• Identify material shortages and discrepancies using inventory management systems (MRP)
• Troubleshoot inventory issues and resolve material-related problems
• Perform inventory adjustments to maintain accurate records
• Conduct regular cycle counts
• Transfer inventory between production floor and warehouse locations
• Stock and manage materials using the FIFO inventory method
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
• Working knowledge of FIFO inventory systems
• Strong organizational abilities
• Working knowledge of basic mathematical concepts
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with standard computer applications
• High attention to detail
• Familiarity with component-related concepts preferred
Education/Certification
• High school diploma or GED
