Job DescriptionDimensional Metrology & FAI Inspector

Your impact
- Run mechanical and visual inspections for incoming, in-process, and final stages
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) per QMS and customer requirements
- Operate metrology assets: micrometers, calipers, height gages, surface plates, optical comparators, air gaging, thread gages, plug gages, and CMMs
- Create thorough computer-based and manual inspection records; maintain traceability
- Enter and manage data to fulfill QMS data-gathering requirements
- Support calibration and upkeep of measuring devices per QP 7.6 and ISO 10012
- Assist during internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Back up quality data daily
- Partner with Project Engineers to disposition discrepant material
- Champion company Quality Policies and Objectives
Are you a fit?
- 3–5 years in quality inspection within aerospace or another tightly regulated precision-manufacturing environment
- Comfort reading engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and travelers
- Hands-on experience with analog/digital inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, bore gauges)
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Proven ability to document results accurately and maintain traceable records
- Basic computer literacy and a sharp attention to detail
