Schedule / Expected Work Hours
Full-time, MondayFriday, typically 7:00 AM 3:30 PM.
Occasional overtime or weekend work as project schedules require.
Primarily field-based role with travel to various job sites.

Job Summary
Winchester Mechanical is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Journeyman to support and lead field installation teams on commercial and industrial HVAC projects across Nashua. This hands-on team member will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality sheet metal work while coordinating crews, materials, and schedules in partnership with project management and general contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor junior sheet metal field crews
  • Support the planning of daily work sequences and crew assignments
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specs
  • Support material deliveries and fabrication needs
  • Support layout, fitting, and duct installation work
  • Conduct safety talks and enforce site safety protocols when foreman is occupied
  • Perform quality inspections and ensure compliance with foreman
  • Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and field reports with foreman
  • Collaborate with PMs, GCs, and other trades to solve issues with foreman

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial sheet metal experience
  • Journeyman-level sheet metal certification required
  • Strong blueprint and plan reading ability
  • Proven field leadership and crew management experience
  • OSHA safety knowledge and enforcement mindset
  • Valid drivers license with clean record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights
  • Preferred: Master Sheet Metal License or BIM/CAD familiarity
