Why us?

We are a fun quirky bunch and have some fantastic clientele. Typically book out 4-6 weeks with a waiting list. We back up our groomers and the shop owner is committed to no-drama staff and clients. We practice "Humanity over Vanity" we take time to educate clients about their pet's coat and how to keep it in great condition. In general, our clients are great tippers, groomer keeps 100% of tip unless they wish to split tips with a bather. We are open 6 days a week but are flexible on days to be scheduled. Pay is negotiable, typically we do an hourly rate based on experience/ skill with a commission but can also do straight commission. Our full time groomer works about 35 hours a week. This is not a booth rental or IC, we are only hiring W2 employees. We have an annual budget for new equipment/ supplies which grooming staff get a say in ordering. We provide reimbursement to attend continuing education classes. Equipment, grooming supplies and sharpening provided. For full time staff we offer Paid sick time, vacation, holidays and 401K matching. Happy to negotiate other benefits for a FT groomer

Here's what we are looking for:

We are searching for an experienced professional pet stylist. We require at least two years experience and will require an in-person demo interview with one of our pups. We are looking for someone that is reliable, helpful, courteous, calm and be able to maintain the Social Pup standards. Ideally we are looking to hire Full time but will consider PT employment. Please apply through indeed, we may ask for grooming photos via email at a later date. We groom all breeds and styles range from shave downs to well kept poodles, doodles, shih-tzus and other breeds. We are looking for someone who can do multiple types of styles on any size/ breed. Some pups see us because they cannot go to traditional salons, so patience and understanding with difficult but not dangerous dogs. Grooming salon is located at at dog daycare so sometimes it can be loud or hectic but it's manageable. Groomers perform start to finish grooming, sometimes have a bather if warranted. We work one on one but there is help if needed. Our groomers have been with us long term and we looking to the future to add to the team. We do not use cage dryers. Schedule can be flexible ideally with availability on Saturdays. Cat grooming experience plus but not required, our kitty clients are very well behaved. We have staff that assist with client scheduling and check in/out. Need to be able to clean up/ maintain a clean work space. We are looking to on board ASAP.

Please do NOT apply if you have no professional grooming experience, we are NOT able to train. Grooming experience means you have worked in a salon in the capacity of a pet groomer. You will be asked to demonstrate your skills with pictures and in person
