We are looking for a hands-on technician with strong experience servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Mercury outboard engines and related marine systems. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career with a respected marine organization on Cape Cod.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair Mercury outboard engines
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs
- Diagnose electrical, fuel, steering, and other related marine systems
- Complete engine rigging, installations, and repowers when needed
- Perform sea trials and verify repairs are completed correctly
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair findings
- Work closely with the service team to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of marine technician or outboard service experience preferred
- Strong Mercury outboard experience highly preferred
- Experience troubleshooting marine mechanical and electrical systems
- Mercury certifications are a plus
- ABYC certifications are a plus
- Experience with Yamaha or Suzuki outboards is also valuable
- Ability to independently diagnose and complete repairs
- Valid driver's license
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced marine service environment
