Job Description

Job DescriptionRole Overview

Job Type: Direct Hire/Full-Time

Step into a precision manufacturing role where you’ll run and program a Mazak turn‑mill center while owning quality from first article through final handoff to QA. You’ll translate prints into efficient toolpaths, tune G‑code at the control, and keep production flowing calmly and safely.

A Day in the Life

Start your morning reviewing blueprints and planning setups. You’ll load tools, set work offsets, and generate or refine Mastercam toolpaths before posting to the Mazak. Throughout the day you’ll run parts, perform in‑process checks with micrometers, calipers, and gauges, and verify each piece meets spec prior to submitting to QA. As issues surface, you’ll troubleshoot—whether that’s a programming tweak, a tooling change, or a subtle G‑code edit—while maintaining a clean, organized workstation and meeting production commitments without sacrificing precision.

Core Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Mazak turn‑mill machines in a precision environment
  • Program and edit using Mastercam and on‑machine controls
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan machining
  • Perform in‑process inspections; confirm parts meet standards before QA submission
  • Use precision metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to hold tight tolerances
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming challenges as they arise
  • Maintain a safe, orderly work area
  • Balance speed and quality to hit production deadlines

What You Bring

  • Hands‑on experience operating Mazak turn‑mill equipment (required)
  • Mastercam programming experience (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of CNC processes and G‑code editing
  • Ability to self‑inspect and consistently hold tight tolerances
  • Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and related gauges
  • Blueprint and technical drawing literacy
  • Strong attention to detail, practical problem solving, and self‑direction

Schedule & Pay

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
  • Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience

Benefits

  • Health and dental insurance
  • 401(k)
  • PTO, holidays, and accrued vacation
  • Potential for two bonuses per year
  • New facility with air filtration and AC
