EHS Administrator

1st shift - 7am-330pm

$23-$25/ hour

Contract through 5/18 with potential extension/ conversion.


The EHS Administrator will primarily support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team on ongoing initiatives while also assisting other functional areas with general administrative tasks. This role offers hands-on exposure within a manufacturing environment and supports continuous process improvement efforts. The position provides broad visibility across multiple departments and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance documentation by updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS), procedures, and process documentation as needed
  • Document safety and environmental incidents and track corrective actions to completion
  • Perform timely data entry for completed Safety Risk Assessments
  • Collaborate with plant supervision to conduct Toxic Risk Assessments based on active chemical inventories
  • Complete miscellaneous data entry to ensure policies, procedures, and records remain current
  • Assist the EHS team with event planning, setup, and breakdown
  • Provide administrative support including filing, photocopying, recordkeeping, and information organization
  • Coordinate and schedule employee appointments with occupational health vendors (e.g., hearing tests, surveillance physicals, workers’ compensation visits)
  • Organize and maintain EHS-related inventory and materials (e.g., apparel, storage areas, filing systems)
  • Work cross-functionally with various departments to resolve issues and provide support as needed
  • Manage training gaps by maintaining databases, tracking closures, and supporting accountability efforts to build a skilled and engaged workforce
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business or a related field, or currently enrolled in a degree program
  • 2+ years of administrative experience preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to collaborate effectively and maintain credibility
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
