Job Description

Job DescriptionDescription

We are partnering with a well-capitalized, stealth-stage biotechnology company that is building a differentiated therapeutic platform with the potential to address significant unmet needs. Backed by experienced leadership and institutional-grade investors, the company is advancing its programs toward IND with a deliberate, milestone-driven strategy. The client is seeking an accomplished ADME/PK leader to shape the translational foundation of a platform with meaningful potential for patients. You will help define how novel biologics move from discovery through development, bringing rigor to exposure-response understanding, human dose projection, and the scientific decision-making that informs the next stage of the Company's pipeline. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned drug development scientist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building rigorous scientific frameworks from the ground up. The successful candidate will partner closely with colleagues in discovery, bioanalytical, toxicology, DMPK, translational sciences, and clinical development to enable decision-making across programs. The Company is primarily an on-site organization that fosters a collaborative, culture-driven workplace and embraces flexibility when needed to support its employees.

Key Responsibilities

Define and own the ADME/PK strategy for biologic therapeutic programs from early discovery through IND-enabling stages. Design and interpret in vitro and in vivo PK, biodistribution, tissue exposure, and dose-exposure-response studies to support candidate selection and development planning. Partner with bioanalytical, pharmacology, toxicology, and translational teams to build integrated nonclinical packages and support clinical translation. Develop and justify human-relevant PK/PD assumptions, exposure targets, and first-in-human dosing recommendations in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Assess the impact of molecule properties, target biology, and tissue distribution on absorption, disposition, and pharmacology to guide program strategy. Manage external study execution with CROs and specialized vendors, including study design oversight, data quality review, and interpretation of results. Contribute to regulatory documents, briefing materials, and internal governance discussions with clear scientific rationale and decision-focused analysis.

Requirements

PhD in pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering, or a related discipline; advanced postdoctoral or industry experience strongly preferred. 15+ years of relevant experience in ADME/PK, DMPK, translational pharmacology, or nonclinical development within biotech or pharma. Deep experience supporting biologics, antibody-based modalities, or other targeted therapeutics in a drug development setting. Demonstrated ability to design experiments, interpret complex PK and tissue distribution data, and translate findings into development decisions. Strong track record of cross-functional leadership and collaboration with discovery, bioanalytical, toxicology, and clinical development teams. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence scientific strategy and present clear recommendations to senior leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

The Company prioritizes the holistic well-being of its employees by offering a comprehensive range of health and wellness benefits. From medical and dental coverage to mental health resources and discounts on healthy living programs, it is committed to supporting the health and well-being of its team members and their families. The annual base salary range for this position is $242,250 - $327,750 USD. Actual pay rates are determined by multiple factors, including qualifications, the relevance of experience, education & credentials, subject-matter expertise, and internal parity.
