Job Description

Are you detail-oriented and skilled in micro-electronics assembly? We are looking for a dedicated Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precision application of conformal coatings and the assembly of electronic components, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

What You’ll Do

  • Use automated and/or manual equipment to apply conformal coat to electronic assemblies and perform touch-ups as necessary to ensure complete coverage.
  • Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products by following detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Utilize microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment to inspect products and meet strict quality requirements.
  • Read and interpret assembly process instructions and work instruction processes accurately.
  • Work with components ranging from microscopic to large-scale, utilizing visual magnification when required.
  • Safely use various hand tools (such as tweezers, rulers, and cutters) and pneumatic tools (such as torque drivers and screwdrivers).
  • Maintain accurate and timely data entry related to production processes and inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for improving throughput and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience with conformal coat application and familiarity with paint equipment.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other non-assembly (commodity) areas to support the broader production team.
  • Basic computer skills required, including the ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability and willingness to learn J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 standards.

Preferred Experience; Experience with electrical and/or micro-electronics; Knowledge of ESD procedures and test equipment.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
