We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Optical Fabrication Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in optical manufacturing processes, strong measurement and inspection abilities, and a commitment to producing high-quality precision components. This role requires hands-on work, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities

Perform various optical fabrication processes including (but not limited to) blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and final inspection.

Conduct interferometry measurements on completed optical components to verify surface accuracy and quality.

Perform visual inspection and manual dimensional measurements using precision gages and metrology tools.

Read and interpret engineering prints, drawings, and tolerance requirements.

Document measurements, results, and production information accurately.

Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications

Experience in optical fabrication or precision manufacturing preferred.

Familiarity with interferometry and precision measurement equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances.
