The Crosby Company of New Hampshire is a single-family office dedicated to the long-term stewardship, management, and preservation of family assets. The Crosby Company of New Hampshire provides administrative and advisory services including investment, finance, technology, risk management, human resources, compliance, curatorial, and trust oversight services to various family office entities.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst I has reporting, analysis, and planning responsibilities for the businesses and leaders the position supports. The position requires the ability to work with all levels of management and staff and produce complete and accurate analytical work on a timely basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Line Finance Support
- Line Finance support for various business units and business partners in the Family Office and Foundations including decision support, reporting, and planning.
- Create scenarios and financial analysis to help management understand financial results and make business decisions.
- Provide financial due diligence analysis for various organizations and vendors.
- Keep current with technical skills and industry knowledge base
Business Finance Support
- Prepare financial reporting for internal and external purposes, not limited to:
- Monthly and quarterly management reporting, highlighting budget and prior-year variances, key drivers, and risks and opportunities
- Asset Reporting
- Quarterly Scorecard
- Corporate Fee calculations and invoicing
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Participate in the annual budget preparation process for supported businesses and consolidated results
- Ownership of financial models and calculations
- Prepare executive presentation materials
Finance Team and Corporate Business Initiatives
- Support Data Strategy and Finance Transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to Reporting Center of Excellence priorities.
- Advance broader finance and accounting initiatives as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or finance required.
- 5+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including corporate financial analysis and planning. Trust and partnership reporting experience desired.
- Prior experience preparing budgets and other financial reporting for management required.
- Prior experience with financial strategy and requirements analysis desired.
Skills and Knowledge
- Financial analysis, modeling, cost accounting, corporate financial planning
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well independently and exhibit good judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of accounting principles, practices and internal controls.
- Demonstrated experience with financial systems. Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with and adept at learning new technology interfaces and software packages
- Proactive and positive attitude, highly motivated, self-directed with minimal daily supervision
- Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to new and varying situations
