Mechanical / Controls Engineer – Industrial Systems (Full-Time, Direct Hire)
Location: Billerica, MA | Type: Direct Hire
We’re looking for a hands-on engineer with experience in instrumentation, controls, or mechanical systems to work on design/build projects in chemical process, life sciences, and environmental industries. If you’ve worked with industrial equipment, automation, or process systems, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do:

Design and specify instrumentation, controls, or mechanical systems for industrial projects

Develop I/O lists, loop diagrams, control panel layouts, or mechanical equipment layouts

Select and specify sensors, transmitters, PLCs, pumps, valves, and related equipment

Coordinate with vendors and assist with procurement

Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting on site

Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams
What You Bring:
-
BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering field
-
2+ years in instrumentation, controls, mechanical systems, or process engineering
-
Familiarity with PLC/DCS systems and/or industrial mechanical equipment
-
Knowledge of relevant standards (UL-508A, hazardous areas, ASME, etc.)

Strong problem-solving and communication skills
