Senior HVAC/Refrigeration Design Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC/Refrigeration Design Engineer to lead the design and implementation of advanced heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in Woburn, MA. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise to optimize system performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of HVAC and refrigeration systems from concept to completion.
- Conduct load calculations and equipment selection to ensure efficient and effective system performance.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed design drawings and specifications for HVAC systems.
- Analyze system performance and implement energy-efficient solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to budgets.
- Stay updated on codes and standards, including ASHRAE guidelines, to ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and their applications.
- Familiarity with codes and standards relevant to HVAC design.
- Experience in energy efficiency and system analysis practices.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
