Step into a fulfilling part-time contract opportunity supporting young learners in an elementary setting. From August to December 2026, bring your expertise as a school social worker and provide invaluable support to a small, dedicated Emotional Disabilities (ED) program. With a close-knit caseload of just three students, you'll have the unique ability to offer focused, impactful services during a colleague's maternity leave.

This role offers a steady daytime schedule, just 2-3 days per week, with hours from 8:15am to 3:30pm, allowing you to make a difference while maintaining work-life balance. Your background in social work and certification in school social work will help nurture social, emotional, and behavioral growth for elementary-aged children.

Qualifications:

Master's in Social Work (MSW) required
Valid state certification/licensure as a school social worker
Experience supporting students in an educational environment, preferably with emotional/behavioral needs
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with elementary-aged children and their families

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct support and counseling for students in the Emotional Disabilities program
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster a positive educational experience
Develop and implement individualized support plans
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and district policies
Advocate for student needs and contribute to student success teams
