Associate Manufacturing Technician

Pay: $24.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM
Job Type: Long-Term Contract | Potential Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Savvy Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Manufacturing Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced automation technology in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality performance of highly automated manufacturing equipment.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge manufacturing processes while contributing to the production of innovative products.

Drug test and background check required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain highly automated manufacturing equipment to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and fault clearing on automated machinery.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to monitor equipment performance and make process adjustments.
  • Maintain proper material feeds and ensure production runs efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, safety concerns, and production inefficiencies.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product quality and tolerances.
  • Support manufacturing processes including:
    • Heat staking
    • Laser welding
    • Mechanical swaging
    • PCB handling and testing
    • Robotic automation
    • Metal stamping and bending
    • Medical packaging
    • High-speed component assembly
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and inventory records.
  • Assist with new product introductions, process improvements, and equipment validations.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to identify and resolve process issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing/cleanroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and production documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be proficient in English to read documentation, communicate effectively, and complete required paperwork.
  • Basic math skills including arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience operating and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with HMIs and computerized manufacturing systems.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience.
  • Cleanroom manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with robotics, discrete assembly, or automated production lines.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools including:
    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
    • Feeler gauges
    • Dial indicators
    • Gauge blocks
    • Optical measurement equipment
  • Experience with welding technologies such as laser welding, ultrasonic welding, or heat staking.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for approximately 75% of the shift and walk frequently.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder level and below waist level.
  • Ability to push and pull equipment/materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and 5–20 lbs frequently.
