This position is responsible for operating machines and performing PM's within the drill department (ie. Hitachi, Excellons, etc.)
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Process Engineers.
- Works safely to prevent injuries and follows all standard operating procedures and company safety regulations.
- Works as part of a team to move product and assist other operators.
- Notifies group leader, engineer or supervisor of any nonconformance product / tools.
- Involvement with continuous improvement activities as needed.
- May be required to cross train in other departments.
- This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and team-building skills.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time.
- Positive interaction between co-workers and management.
- Quality improvements experience a plus (ie. TQM or Six Sigma)
- Previous drill experience preferred.
