Job DescriptionFoundation and Corporate Relations Director
Our client, a respected research company, is seeking a skilled Foundation and Corporate Relations Director to join their team. This pivotal role involves managing a high-value portfolio of foundation and corporate partners, driving revenue growth, and fostering meaningful collaborations that advance the organization’s scientific mission. The ideal candidate will combine scientific insight with exceptional relationship-building skills, translating complex research priorities into compelling funding opportunities, and working collaboratively across teams to achieve institutional goals.
Compensation: $125K-150K*
*Potential offers vary based on experience level and qualifications

Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of foundation and corporate partners, including multi-year engagement strategies and renewals.
- Identify, qualify, and advance new funding opportunities; maintain an active pipeline and support forecasting and goal tracking.
- Lead proposal strategy and development for letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports in coordination with internal partners (e.g., leadership, finance, and other stakeholders), ensuring quality and compliance with requirements.
- Build strong internal partnerships to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities and initiatives.
- Represent the organization in meetings with external partners and maintain high standards for donor communications, briefing materials, and stewardship reporting.
- Utilize CRM/grants management tools to track activity and outcomes and support consistent reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in foundation/corporate relations, institutional fundraising, or related development work within a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
- Background in science, healthcare or academia preferred.
- Demonstrated success securing and managing complex, multi-year institutional grants and partnerships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex internal priorities into clear, compelling external materials.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with CRM and grant tracking systems (Cayuse or similar tools preferred).
- Willingness to travel as needed.
