The Clean Room Assembler performs a variety of production tasks, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive work, to assemble component parts into sub-assemblies and finished units by following clearly defined standard operating procedures. This role may also include conducting quality inspections on the processing line to ensure all products meet established quality specifications and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble component parts into sub-assemblies and completed units by following standard operating procedures and documented work instructions.
  • Perform both repetitive and non-repetitive production tasks with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and product quality.
  • Conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with established quality specifications and guidelines.
  • Apply basic assembly skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within the assigned area in a clean room environment.
  • Maintain all required licenses, training, and certifications needed to perform assigned duties safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to all quality guidelines, clean room protocols, and safety standards at all times.
  • Work under close supervision and submit work for review to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures.
  • Seek supervisor approval before proceeding with any deviations from standard procedures or normal processes.
  • Follow scientific methods and documented processes where applicable to maintain consistency and reliability in production.
  • Support general production and assembly activities as needed, including basic warehouse-related tasks if required by the role.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in assembly or warehouse environments.
  • Ability to perform assembly tasks in a clean room setting while following strict cleanliness and contamination control procedures.
  • Comfort working with small components, including the use of a microscope when required.
  • Ability to follow clearly defined standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.
  • Capability to complete routine and basic assignments with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness to work under close supervision and accept regular review of completed work.
  • Strong adherence to safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to maintain required licenses, training, and certifications relevant to the role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous clean room experience is beneficial.
  • Experience performing visual inspections or quality checks using a microscope is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with production or manufacturing environments and basic scientific or technical methods.
  • Ability to follow documented processes and work instructions with minimal deviation.
  • Strong reliability and consistency in meeting production and quality expectations.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean room production environment, where you follow strict cleanliness, contamination control, and safety protocols. Work is performed using standard operating procedures and, when needed, microscopes and other inspection tools to handle and examine small components. The position involves routine and basic assignments under close supervision, with all work reviewed for accuracy. Any deviations from normal processes require prior approval from a supervisor, ensuring a structured and well-controlled work setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicopee, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.65 - $19.40/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
