Job DescriptionSUMMARY:The Accounting Manager will report to the Director of Accounting. They will manage Staff Accountant, aid in the month-end general ledger close, monitor cash flow, analyze financial information, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Staff Accountant and other employees as assigned.
- Prepare, maintain and analyze weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
- Develops financial reports for financial analysis, forecasting, and trending
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, and prepare necessary adjusting entries.
- Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist with annual budget process, audits, and special projects.
- Prepare journal entry to post payroll activity to the general ledger.
- Assists with inventory audit reconciliations.
- Work cooperatively and actively with accounting team and others in the company to drive continuous process improvement in own job and in the function.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
- Previous corporate accounting experience required
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles
- Very strong aptitude for business software applications, including proficiency with general ledger and spreadsheet programs; Knowledge of Sage Pro accounting software a plus.
