Thin Film Coating Technician
G5 Infrared, LLC is a small business based in Hudson, New Hampshire, specializing in high-performance infrared imaging cameras and advanced thin film coatings. We are currently seeking an experienced Thin Film Coating Technician to join our team.
Position Summary
The Thin Film Coating Technician is responsible for supporting all phases of the coating process, including equipment preparation, operation, and maintenance. This role requires hands-on experience with vacuum coating systems and the ability to work independently in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thin film coating processes in accordance with established procedures
- Set up, operate, and monitor vacuum coating equipment
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble vacuum chambers without supervision
- Maintain and troubleshoot basic mechanical components of coating systems
- Follow detailed process instructions to ensure consistent product quality
- Handle materials and equipment safely, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Work flexible shifts as needed to support production schedules
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of vacuum coating processes and equipment
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to maintain and service coating systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in thin film coating or related field
- High school diploma or equivalent required
