Job DescriptionTitle: Shipping & ReceivingType of Placement: Temp-Perm Shift: 1st shift 7:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday Pay/Pay Range: $21.00-$22.00hourly About Our Customer: Trusted manufacturer specializing in high-performance adhesive solutions. Benefits upon Hired Perm: To be discussed Summary:Shipping and Receiving Laborer with a strong focus on inventory control, order accuracy, and efficient material handling. Skilled in coordinating shipments, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Safely operate a forklift to load and unload freight from carriers or containers,
- Occasionally assist in the off load of containers consisting of sacks weighing 25k (55lbs)and place on pallets.
- As required, pull packages from inventory and prepare shipment.
- Contact carriers (UPS included) to schedule shipment of freight
- As necessary, receive products, verify purchase orders and enter receiving data into the computer system.
- Communicate and coordinate shipments with customer service as necessary.
- Print packing list, bill of lading, and any other related shipping documents necessary to execute shipment.
- Enter data into the shipping log.
- Maintain the shipping and receiving dock area (inside and outside) in a neat and organized manner.
- Occasionally perform other duties as assigned by the production supervisor or Operation manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proven experience with shipping and receiving.
- Ability to operate forklift and pallet jacks.
Environmental Conditions: Fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to industrial equipment, variable temperatures, and adhesive-related materials; adheres to safety guidelines and uses required PPE to maintain a safe workspace.Physical Capabilities:Requires standing for long periods, lifting and moving metal parts, using hands and arms for welding and grinding, and bending, reaching, or crouching as needed to complete fabrication tasks safely.
