Location: Exeter, NH
Pay Rate: $19–$24/hourJoin a Skilled, Hands-On Production Team!We’re seeking a versatile Assemblers / Soldering Technicians to support both general assembly and precision soldering operations. If you’re detail-oriented, eager to learn, and love variety in your workday, this role is for you!Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly Duties
- Assemble components into printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies, sub-assemblies, and light mechanical hardware.
- Work with small tools, engineering documents, and visual aids.
- Identify and report non-reworkable issues; ensure non-conforming materials are routed properly.
Preform Tasks:
- Cut parts to specified lengths.
- Bend parts to required angles.
- Bond cores to boards.
- Place cores onto magnetic fixtures as needed.
P-Line Tasks:
- Place all thru-hole parts onto PC boards using proper paperwork and tooling.
Pre-Pot Tasks:
- Place tested units into cases and apply covers/insulators per engineering drawings.
- Glue components to boards as needed.
- Apply conformal coating to units when required.
Encapsulation Tasks:
- Apply encapsulation materials.
- Maintain and clean encapsulation machinery.
- Clean units after encapsulation has cured.
- Label units accurately after finishing.
Soldering Duties
- Perform soldering of thru-hole components on PCB assemblies, sub-assemblies, and light mechanical hardware.
- Operate hydraulic equipment used for placing pins on boards.
- Apply proper Electro Static Discharge (ESD) precautions while handling all products.
- Route non-conforming material to the Material Review Board (MRB).
- Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 1+ year general assembly experience
- 1–3 years of experience in an IPC soldering role preferred
Skills:
- IPC Certification (preferred)
- Strong thru-hole soldering skills
- Ability to distinguish between rework and repair
- Ability to read Engineering Bills of Material (BOMs) and related documents
- Familiarity with:
- ANSI/IPC 610B workmanship standards
- ESD requirements
- Willingness to learn, cross-train, and support multiple areas of production
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
