Help us transform raw material into precision components by owning setups, tooling choices, and the processes that make great parts. This role is 100% onsite in Newington, NH on 2nd shift and reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor. Local applicants only.

What you’ll do

• Run qualified metal-removal and metal-forming equipment; manage multiple machines when training and proximity allow.
• Set up machines, components, and castings to print; understand setup time varies with part size and complexity.
• Select and apply precision measuring instruments and hand tools to verify close tolerances.
• Follow drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions consistent with PP-09-01.
• Perform high-accuracy machining to engineering drawings and process instructions.
• Identify the need for, and fabricate, jigs and fixtures.
• Load or coordinate loading for your machining center.
• Optionally modify/troubleshoot machining programs when qualified.
• Maintain accountability for in-process quality and tolerance control.
• Adhere to 5S, housekeeping, safety, and criticality procedures.
• Take direction from the supervisor or team coordinator; handle general tasks assigned by management; operate with minimal guidance.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience with proficiency equivalent to a Westinghouse–Newington Machinist B or similar.
• Working knowledge of CNC G-code.
• Practical knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and setup to achieve quality results.
• 5S mindset and strong safety orientation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings; execute close-tolerance work.
• Capacity to operate various machine tool types with limited additional training.
• Experience fabricating jigs/tooling.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Programming experience preferred.
