Sr. Process Engineer — Colchester, VT

Note: Candidates with cable manufacturing background strongly preferred.

About the Role

\n

We're looking for a Senior Process Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence across our cable production operations. In this role, you'll be the technical backbone connecting process innovation, quality assurance, and cost efficiency — while serving as the company's go-to cable technology expert. You'll partner closely with operations, R&D, sales, and marketing to keep our products and processes ahead of the industry curve.

What You'll Do

    \n
  • Design and develop new cable products along with the manufacturing processes that bring them to life
  • \n

  • Lead the transfer of new technologies and processes from concept into full production
  • \n

  • Partner with plant operations to troubleshoot process issues and build effective corrective action plans
  • \n

  • Manage development and process-improvement projects from kickoff to completion, using structured project management practices
  • \n

  • Provide technical support to marketing and sales — including samples, data sheets, technical reports, and presentations for customers and prospects
  • \n

  • Train production teams on new technologies, equipment, and industry best practices
  • \n

  • Research and evaluate new materials, cable designs, and process technologies to keep the company at the forefront of innovation
  • \n

  • Continuously refine existing products and processes to improve quality, throughput, and cost
  • \n

  • Evaluate, select, and procure materials, tooling, and equipment for manufacturing and testing
  • \n

  • Document manufacturing processes and maintain thorough technical records
  • \n

  • Benchmark and analyze competitor products to inform our product strategy
  • \n

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Datacom cable design, application, testing, and processing — supporting teams company-wide
  • \n

What You Bring

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical field)
  • \n

  • 6+ years of relevant experience, ideally including hands-on wire and cable process and/or design work
  • \n

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • \n

  • A hands-on, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • \n

Additional Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time; occasional evenings/weekends as project demands require
  • \n

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs periodically
  • \n

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required
  • \n
